December 15 Middle Street Fire
December 29, 2007: In the two weeks since the
devastating fire on Middle Street in Gloucester left more than two
dozen people homeless, residents of Gloucester, Cape Ann and beyond
have generously donated $70,000.00 to aid the fire victims. Today
those funds were distributed - $3,500.00 per apartment to the
former residents of the 20 units of the Lorraine Apartments.
The Gloucester fund will continue to collect donations and distribute
them as they come in. Donations may be sent to:
